Shifting capital for change together.
Redirect is an independent non-profit reshaping how capital serves society. We work with investors to channel money into affordable, sustainable housing while raising awareness among institutions and everyday savers about the role their money plays in creating lasting social impact.
Redirect is an independent non-profit working at the intersection of finance and housing. We believe that the way capital flows through our economy shapes the society we live in and that changing those flows can trigger real, lasting systemic change. We started with our project ‘Reliving’ by working with institutional investors to redirect their capital toward non-speculative, affordable and sustainable housing. And we plan to work to raise awareness, among both large institutions and everyday savers, about the role their money plays in our society.
Our mission
What we do
Pillar 1
We build investment vehicles
We develop innovative fund structures that make it possible for institutional investors like pension funds, insurance companies and investment funds, to finance positive change in our society.
Pillar 2
We connect and grow the ecosystem
We bring together initiatives, investors, policymakers and advocates to share knowledge, align strategies and build a movement toward shifting capital as a force for good.
Pillar 3
We shift the narrative
We raise awareness, among large institutions and everyday savers alike, about the role their money plays in the world. We develop tools, campaigns and programmes to help people understand the environmental and social impact of their finances.
In the spotlight:
Reliving, our first concrete step.
Reliving is the impact fund we are building, designed to channel institutional investment into non-speculative, affordable housing in Belgium. The fund finances housing initiatives that serve vulnerable groups: people with low incomes, elderly residents, single-parent families and people with disabilities.
We are currently in our pilot phase working together with Inpulse - Impact Driven Fund Manager ,preparing 4–5 first investments in carefully selected housing initiatives, including Community Land Trusts and housing cooperatives.
Reliving
Our values
Redirecting finance for change: Finance as a tool, collaboration over competition and honesty about complexity.
Finance as a tool, not a goal.
Money should serve people. We work to restore that relationship in the institutions we engage and in the broader public conversation about savings and investment.
Collaboration over competition.
We actively build bridges across the ecosystem, between housing initiatives, investors, policymakers and advocates. A stronger field benefits everyone.
Honesty about complexity.
Systemic change is slow, uncertain, and full of trade-offs. We don't pretend otherwise. We learn as we go, and we share what we find.
